Description: Cariaggi Cashmere is a 100% Italian premium cashmere from the Cariaggi mill. It’s a favourite of ateliers and brands like Брунелло Кучінеллі for its softness, lightness, and impeccably even finish.
Properties. Gentle next to the skin, warm without weight, elastic, and remarkably even in stitch formation. After a delicate wash and blocking, the fabric softens, relaxes, and holds its shape even better.
Yardage & how to knit. Typical counts are 2/28 (~1400 m/100 g) and 2/27 (~1350 m/100 g)—this indicates thickness/yardage and twist.
Hand-knitting: work triple-stranded on 3.0–3.5 mm needles for staple sweaters, cardigans, hats, and cowls. Single or double-stranded gives airy shawls and light accessories.
5-gauge machines: comfortable triple-stranded at a medium tension (around 8).
Before wearing, give your piece a gentle wash and block—the fabric will even out and achieve a refined, boutique look.
