Description: Cariaggi Island is 100% carded cashmere 2/1300 (650 m/100 g) with a velvety hand and refined warmth. Carded spinning gives the yarn airy loft and elasticity; after wet finishing it blooms, producing a fuller, ultra-comfortable fabric—feather-light yet warmly insulating. It’s breathable, wearable year-round, and gentle on sensitive skin. Ideal for jumpers, cardigans, hats, snoods, scarves, shawls, and baby knits.
Strands & needles:
• 1 strand (~650 m/100 g) — lace, shawls, light wraps; needles 2.25–2.75 mm.
• 2 strands (~325 m/100 g) — lightweight sweaters/cardigans, staple scarves; 3.25–3.75 mm.
• 3 strands (~217 m/100 g) — warm pullovers with resilient ribbing; 3.75–4.25 mm.
• 4 strands (~163 m/100 g) — denser sweaters, outer knitwear; 4.5–5.0 mm.
Always swatch and wash: after laundering the gauge loosens and the texture softens and gains volume. Care: cool hand wash with wool/cashmere detergent, dry flat.
