Description: Zegna Baruffa Cashsilk is a fine Italian yarn: 70% combed cashmere, 30% silk, 2400 m/100 g (2/48). The strand is even and springy, giving a clean stitch; silk adds a soft satin-matte sheen and strength, while cashmere provides weightless warmth. After wet blocking the fabric blooms, softens and drapes beautifully, gentle even on sensitive skin. Makers note tidy rows, good shoulder fit, stable edges and moderate pilling with careful care. Cashsilk suits essential long-sleeves, sweaters and cardigans, airy dresses and tops, scarves and wraps, children’s pieces, and also works as a carrier in blends (with merino or silk-mohair) for a luxe effect. Because of the very fine count it’s usually held in multiple strands: roughly 1 strand for lace and shawls, 2–3 for light pullovers, 4 for warmer cardigans; always knit and wash a swatch first. Care: cool water, wool/silk detergent, no rubbing, dry flat.
